01. About Me
Hey, I am Maxime Koitsalu (pronounced Mak-sim Kojt-salu), I'm
currently working under the umbrella of my consulting company
KOKODO, as a Software Engineer for Jeppesen. From a very young age, I've always been interested in tech and
science. Initially, I started web development out of my adventures on
a relic of the past called Neopets, which then evolved to creating
websites for private Tibia servers. It eventually became a hobby, and
after embarking on more serious studies at Luleå University of
Technology, I thought it would be cool to offer my skills to clients
who want awesome web experiences, thus here we are.
I have a passion for design and development, I like to create things
that don’t just look good, but that also function on multiple levels.
I am always eager to take on a challenge, and aim to exceed in all
tasks I take on. I develop websites that are functional, efficient and
that act as an excellent representation of a person or business on the
digital landscape. I have over 5 years of experience building web apps
and I would love to bring your digital vision to reality.

Front-End Software Engineer @ Jeppesen / Boeing
April 2019 - Present
- Write modern, performant, and robust code for a diverse array of internal projects
- Work with a variety of different languages and frameworks, such as JavaScript, TypeScript, Angular, Angular Material, NgRx, NGXS, RxJS, Node.js, canvas, etc.
- Communicate and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams of engineers, designers, producers, clients, and stakeholders daily
Co-Founder & Front-End Software Engineer @ GigPort
January 2020 - Present
- Developed and maintained major features of GigPorts customer-facing app using Vue, Vuetify, Material Design, State Management, MJML for email templates, etc.
- Implemented BankID and i18n internationalization. Ensured compatibility and mobile responsiveness with various devices and browsers
- Worked closely with the management team and backend developers to turn ideas into reality
Founder & Team Lead Software Engineer @ Trovisio
April 2017 - April 2019
- Engineered and architected the frontend of a web application from the ground up using React, MUI, Redux, ES6, and SCSS. Achieved high lighthouse ranking and implemented SEO
- Led a small team of developers using the agile methodology and working as a Scrum Master
- Worked on UX, branding, and marketing aspects of the organization along user experience designers

Featured Project
GigPort
A web app for contractors and employers to connect. A profile system for contractors and an advanced search for employers. The app is built with Vue, Vuetify, Node, Express, and PostgreSQL.

Trovisio
Trovisio was a web application designed for managers to get an overview of their teams. It also allowed them to build teams based on the team members skills and personalities. It was built with React, Redux, MUI, Node, Express, and PostgreSQL.
